Melissa’s role: My central focus is on delivering the best possible service to our donors and fundholders. I proudly manage a team of exceptional operations and service professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of donation, grant, scholarship and accounts payable processing.
What Melissa likes most about working at the Foundation:ACF is home to an inspiring community of teammates, organizations, partners and donors committed to enriching our city. I love being connected to the inclusive, innovative work happening in Austin.
What Melissa did before:For much of my career, I’ve helped nonprofit organizations meet their missions through thoughtful administration. Prior to joining ACF, I served as the Operations Manager at NAMI Texas, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mental illness. Before moving to Austin, I acted as the director of a community arts organization and served on the board of my local community foundation.
Melissa’s favorite thing to do in Central Texas: I love checking out Austin’s endless variety of fun community events and shows with friends and family. It’s a particularly good day when I can explore the city on my bike and relax in the water in the same trip. I also find joy in making art and visiting new interactive art experiences.
