Malcolm’s role: I provide both strategic and operational leadership to our Foundation, focusing on IT security, tools, and overall environment. I strive to maintain a deep understanding of the unique needs of each department, allowing me to identify and implement technological solutions that enhance our work in an effective and innovative way.
What brought Malcolm to the Foundation: Having previously worked in the Higher Education space, I value the importance of empowering individuals and the community. ACF has been making an impact for over 40 years and I am excited to join an organization dedicated to serving its community. I want to continue to help the organization grow and continue making a difference in the Austin community.
What Malcolm did before: Since graduating with my BS from Wilberforce University in Ohio, I have spent my entire career in Higher Education. I first began working at my alma mater before making the transition back to my home state of Texas in 2018. From there, I began working as the IT Director for Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. During my tenure, I also earned my MBA from the University before coming to join ACF.
Malcolm’s favorite things to do in Central Texas: In Central Texas, there are so many great things to do outside of work! I really enjoy coaching my son’s basketball team as well as playing basketball with the local dads in my area. Me and my wife also love exploring new food places around the city. Austin has so many delicious places to try! Spending quality time with my three kids is also a favorite, whether it’s attending their extra-curricular activities or simply going to the park.
