Donating cryptocurrency can offer a tax-efficient way to support Austin Community Foundation and local nonprofits. Your contribution of electronic currency is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. A taxpayer who donates cryptocurrency directly to charity may be able to claim the full value of the cryptocurrency as a charitable deduction and avoid capital gains taxes.

When you donate crypto to the ACF, we immediately convert your donation to USD via The Giving Block, which means all donations are non-refundable. Please only send currencies listed on the widget.

Follow these steps to donate:

Select the cryptocurrency you wish to donate. If you want to donate to a specific fund or nonprofit, email heretohelp@austincf.org with your name, phone number and the fund or nonprofit you want to support.
Enter the donation amount in dollars or fractions.
Scan the crypto code on the donation page to make the donation from your crypto wallet.
