AUSTIN, Texas – Austin Community Foundation (ACF) announced today $1 million in grant funding will be awarded to 31 local nonprofits working to advance economic mobility in Central Texas. The Foundation’s strategic programs—the Hispanic Impact Fund and Women’s Fund—each awarded $500,000 in unrestricted, general operating support to the nonprofits listed below.

“Austin Community Foundation is proud to support 31 incredible nonprofits through $1 million in grant funding, advancing efforts that create meaningful change across Central Texas,” said Meagan Anderson Longley, vice president of community impact, Austin Community Foundation. “Through our commitment to trust-based philanthropy and equitable grantmaking, we aim to build stronger partnerships and ensure that resources reach organizations making the greatest impact in our communities.”

The Hispanic Impact Fund granted to 16 Latino-led or Latino-serving nonprofits working to support the economic mobility and advancement of Hispanic Central Texans across four impact areas: early childhood education, health and wellness, job skills and entrepreneurship, and leadership development

The Women’s Fund granted to 15 nonprofits working to support the economic mobility of women and children in Central Texas across five impact areas: childcare, education, housing, unplanned pregnancy prevention, and women’s health.

The Hispanic Impact Fund and Women’s Fund operate as collective giving networks led by community members who share responsibility for the vision, fundraising, and grantmaking. Approximately 132 individuals, including people with lived experience, participated in the grant selection process and thoughtfully vetted more than 214 applications. Among the nonprofits selected for funding, 45% are first-time grant partners.

Special thanks to Ascension Seton, Favor, Google, LiveOak Ventures, MAYA Consulting PIMCO, Q2 Holdings Inc., Regions Bank, and St. David’s Foundation for generously supporting ACF’s economic mobility work.
