Thanks to the generosity of our investors and volunteers, the Hispanic Impact Fund awarded $500,000 in general operating support to 16 organizations advancing economic mobility for Hispanic Central Texans.
We’re thrilled to announce our 2023 grant partners, beginning with the top finalists in each of our four impact areas: Early Childhood Education, Health & Wellness, Job Skills & Entrepreneurship, and Leadership Development.
Early Childhood Education
Providing access to affordable, high-quality pre-K and early childhood education starting at age 3, building the pipeline from cradle to career for Latino families.
AVANCE – Austin
$50,000 / Two-year grant
AVANCE creates pathways to economic mobility for predominantly Latino families through high-quality, culturally responsive, two-generation programming that ensures school readiness for young children and opportunities for parents to build social and economic capital.
Health & Wellness
Increasing access to preventative, culturally competent mental and physical health services, helping Latino families avoid unexpected health crises.
Luz de Atabey Midwifery Project (LAMP)
$50,000 / two-year grant
LAMP aims to radically shifting pregnancy experiences. They provide reproductive care and support that is culturally rooted, trauma-informed and generationally healing for Black people, Indigenous people and people of color, especially immigrants, refugees and queer and trans families.
Job Skills & Entrepreneurship
Equipping Latinos with the skills needed to obtain high-demand, living-wage jobs with opportunities for advancement, and assisting Latino entrepreneurs to expand their businesses.
Todos Juntos Learning Center
$50,000 / two-year grant
Todos Juntos uses a four-pronged, two-generation approach to promote the academic and social well-being of immigrant and refugee families through education, empowerment and community support.
Leadership Development
Advancing Latino leadership and creating pipelines of youth, emerging, and established Latino talent, which are critical to building a thriving Central Texas.
Amhiga Hispana
$50,000 / two-year grant
Amhiga Hispana focuses on 3 areas of comprehensive development: health, social and financial. They offer educational workshops, conferences and social events as part of their mission to help Spanish-speaking women maximize their talents and empower themselves.
